Linda Dorotea is a coffee and churro house focused on granting a boutique experience by serving Mexican authentic coffee and paying tribute to Mexican artisans and their traditions with its environmental design.
We fell in love with this project the moment we started brainstorming. The naming came from one of the lead characters of Pedro Páramo, a short magical-realist novel from Mexican writer Juan Rulfo and considered one of the masterpieces of Latin American literature. We were heavily inspired by Mexican colors and flavors in order to achieve the visual identity. The logo is a balance game between typefaces. One denotes sweetness and sensitivity while the other represents the Mexican essence along with the artisans approach. The color palette plays a key part on Linda Dorotea’s brand speech, working with Mexican attitudes such as happiness, folklore and affection.
Brand concept, brand storytelling, logotype.
