Andrea Rivera is a visual artist from León, Guanajuato. Her artwork’s mark is outlined by an outstanding technique, a puristic style and a figurative method. MANAI, an organic restaurant in León, chose her to make the main wall painting. The place’s decor is inspired by a green, natural concept that acted as the central motive for the mural work.
The film’s perspective is on the artistic process of the painting and Andrea’s feelings were reflected on her performance. The footage is entirely real and edited in a sequential order to show frame by frame the evolution of the mural. We used detail shots to highlight the artwork’s details such as the watercolor drains; this was asked to Andrea previously so that the painting could keep an organic character. Her facial expressions were elemental to the film in order to disclose how she interacts and lives with her own art.
